Dreaming... and failing.

I rarely remember my nightly dreams. So every now and then, I like to help my brain by concocting a story in the living hours. Yesterday, on my drive home from the lab, I imagined an ostrich was chasing me... while I was on foot... Oh the horror. As I was fleeing away from this angry bird on the freeway, I magically spotted (isn’t that how it’s done in dreams?) a bike in the middle of the freeway. I hopped on the bike and pedaled like mad through the green stoplight coming off the Johnston Ave exit (I-35W North). My sister’s fear of biking at an intersection flashed through my mind. As a result, the fear of being pecked to death by an ostrich (me) and the fear of being hit by a vehicle while on a bike (my sis) created this image of myself as a Peanuts cartoon character biking across an intersection with my eyes closed, screaming “Aaarrgh” with stress lines around my shaking head. I thought that was sufficient for a nightly adventure... I mean nightmare.

Needless to say, I do not recall any dreams I had last night.

Instead, I awoke early in the morning and hit snooze. Three minutes later, I jumped out of my bed because I realized I had a 5am time point.
